San Diego Canyons Campaign - Sierra Club

Habitat restoration involves removing invasive plants and restoring native vegetation. Invasive plants are those that have been introduced to San Diego, either by accident or for a purpose such as landscaping. Invasive plants grow out of balance with the native vegetation and soon overwhelm the habitat. The result is land that has reduced diversity of plants, insects, birds, and other animals.

To participate in an active restoration project please visit our EVENT CALENDAR or register to VOLUNTEER.
